More flexibility with the m.PDU SF20 series

The m.PDU SF20 series are PCB-based standard power distributors that significantly enhance the fault tolerance of electrical vehicle systems. Equipped with a total of 20 MiniVal fuse holders, they can protect a wide variety of different consumers. For flexible integration into the overall system, the power distributors of the m.PDU SF20 series are available in four different variants. Customers can choose between electrical load distributors with front or rear connections, as well as versions with or without fuse failure indicators.

 Fast availability from stock

Cost optimization is especially a driving factor in vehicle manufacturing. That's why products that are quickly available and enable a smooth project process without long delivery and waiting times are important. miunske® offers the m.PDU as a standard solution that is designed and manufactured in-house. This way, long lead times caused by supply chains are avoided. Additionally, by optimizing inventory management in our own warehouse, necessary components for the production of standard PDUs can be stocked and retrieved as needed.

Thanks to the tailored combination of versions with and without fuse failor indicators, a variety of application scenarios can be covered. Depending on the integration environment, the power distributor can be flexibly installed thanks to its various connector positioning.

 simple DIN rail mounting via adapter

When manufacturing vehicles and integrating power distributors into the overall system, the focus is on compact, easily integrable components. Thanks to the flexible installation options—either directly in the vehicle or using a DIN rail adapter—the implementation can be tailored to the existing conditions. In addition to the standard mounting, the appropriate DIN rail adapter allows the application-specific expansion of existing power distributors with additional PDU circuit boards.

 enhanced safety and reliability

In particular, the design on the circuit board enables efficient power distribution, reduces wiring effort, and minimizes performance losses. Thanks to the layout and the press-fit assembly, power distribution units in this series can withstand high voltages and currents, ensuring a long overall lifespan for the circuit boards. Another advantage of the used press-fit components is that they are significantly more resistant to the mechanical stresses encountered in commercial vehicles, which positively impacts the reliability of the power distribution system.

Standard components enable quick and uncomplicated solutions for power distribution in vehicles. Experience and feedback have shown that even standard solutions may require individual adjustments. miunske® also offers this service for the application-oriented design of customized vehicle power distribution units.

 service- & user friendliness

The topics of service and user-friendliness were also taken into account during the development of this standard power distributor. To enable quick and easy fuse replacement when needed, three fuse holders are available to provide spare fuses.

The appropriate circuit board design, the right housing and the necessary connection cables as well as possible plug connectors: whatever the customer needs, miunske implements it to match the specific application and vehicle demands and ensures smooth and punctual delivery.

Customized development of intelligent Power Distribution Units/PDUs

Vehicle manufacturers have the opportunity to submit their requirements for an energy/power distribution unit to miunske. In close cooperation with the project team, the hardware & software department and the design department, specific requirements for equipment, dimensioning, installation situation and any service parameters can be taken into account and implemented as part of an individual power distribution unit.
