This offers vehicle manufacturers more options when selecting components, as not only can components with 12/24V be used in the 48V vehicle electrical system, but 48V components can also be operated in the 12/24V vehicle electrical system. For commercial vehicle manufacturers, this means less cabling, greater energy efficiency and a decisive step towards partially electrified powertrains or auxiliary units.

The space-optimized 2G5-48 was specifically developed for use in 12/24 and 48V on-board power supply systems. Thanks to its robust housing, it provides reliable protection against dirt, moisture and vibration, which are typical influencing factors in commercial vehicles. In addition to a screwed version, a potted version is also available for special requirements. The flexible mounting options via mounting brackets or on a top-hat rail simplify the integration into the vehicle. In accordance with the expansion and modularity approach, the CAN I/O module 2G5-48 can also be expanded with fuse holders and relay sockets at the designated lugs.

Software customization of CAN I/O Modules
