Tietjen relies on CAN-Bus technology
For more than 40 years the Dipl. Ing. Tietjen GmbH is a leading specialist for compressed air braking systems – for original equipment and for retrofitting.With over 5,000 compressed air braking systems developed for a wide range of tractor and trailer manufacturers, the company has built up impressive expertise.
One field in which Tietjen would like to continue to push ahead with innovations is the cabling of air braking systems. The large number of different cable harnesses that are required as part of the high level of system customization is a challenge. For this reason, the company will rely on CAN-Bus technology in future in order to achieve greater flexibility and at the same time advance standardization in cabling.
In December 2024, the Tietjen team took the opportunity to engage more detailed in the field of CAN-Bus communication. In a tailor-made training course at miunske, the participants gained valuable insights into the theory and practice of CAN communication and the typical sources of errors in just two days. This practical introduction is intended to ensure that the changeover from traditional wiring to the modern CAN-Bus system will go smoothly.
We would like to thank all participants of the training for the interesting exchange and look forward to supporting Tietjen on its way to an even more flexible and standardized future. We wish the company every success with the further expansion and successful implementation of the CAN-Bus system in its compressed air braking systems.
