Training courses about CAN vehicle control

miunske® held a training course on CAN vehicle control on Thursday, February 8, 2024 to increase its customers’ knowledge and skills in dealing with Controller Area Network (CAN) in vehicle control. The aim was to improve efficiency, accuracy and safety in the development and maintenance of vehicle systems.

Training content: The training courses were led by Andreas Wenzel and Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Martin Gössel, Group Manager Project Development. They have a wealth of experience in the field of vehicle technology and CAN protocols thanks to their many years of support work. The following topics were covered

  1. Introduction to the CAN protocol
  2. CAN message structure
  3. CAN network topologies
  4. Data transmission and speeds
  5. CAN implementation in vehicle control systems

Practical exercises: The theoretical knowledge was reinforced by practical exercises. Participants had the opportunity to simulate and test CAN communication in real scenarios. This enabled the participants to directly apply the knowledge they had acquired and consolidate their skills.

Participant feedback: The feedback from participants was consistently positive. The interactive training methods and practical exercises were particularly appreciated. Many participants stated that the training courses had significantly improved their skills in the area of CAN vehicle control.

Conclusion: The training on CAN vehicle control was a success and helped to strengthen understanding and skills on the customer side, enabling them to act more independently. This will have a positive impact on the quality and efficiency of future projects in the area of development and implementation of control tasks in vehicles.
