As a systems supplier, miunske® designs, develops, and manufactures electronic components and systems for commercial and specialty vehicles as well as mobile machinery. Every step of the process—from concept and development through to series production—takes place at our facility in Grosspostwitz, Saxony. Here, we have access to a wide range of technologies and manufacturing processes.

As a medium-sized company with a large manufacturing and logistics center, we deliver automotive electronics products to the right place at the right time.

Since February 1, 2025, miunske electronic GmbH has been the consulting, sales, manufacturing, and logistics partner for the entire miunske® product portfolio.
Since 2020, miunske solution GmbH has served as an ideas lab and incubator for groundbreaking new developments in commercial vehicle electronics from miunske®.

Company History
Groundbreaking Ceremony for a New Office Building
On September 30, 2026, miunske will break ground on its new office building at the Großpostwitz site. The miunske team, along with guests from the political and business communities, will raise a toast to a new chapter in the company’s history. With a clear commitment to the region, to the people who work here, and to the belief that miunske’s innovative electronics enhance commercial and specialty vehicles, the company is investing in the future.
30 Years of miunske
30 Years of Automotive Electronics from miunske—three decades full of ideas, new strategies, and a wealth of development. Since the company’s founding, miunske has continued to evolve. From a distribution partner to a system supplier and, ultimately, a development partner for automotive electronics and electrical systems. Throughout this journey, the company has always remained true to its roots and vision. Thirty years of company history mark a special milestone and provide an excellent foundation for supporting the path of automotive development with innovative solutions. Armed with experience and new ideas, miunske is ready for the next 30 years.
Founding of miunske electronic GmbH
miunske® is consolidating its expertise in the areas of sales, manufacturing, and logistics with the founding of miunske electronic GmbH. Customers thus enjoy all the benefits of a stable, forward-looking, and reliable supplier relationship across the entire miunske portfolio.
Creation of New Parking Spaces
As the number of employees increases, so does the need for parking spaces. Through optimized planning, an efficient parking system was designed and implemented on the administrative grounds. Since November 2023, miunske® has had a total of approximately 32 additional parking spaces available.
Expansion of Manufacturing
miunske ® - Manufacturing Gets an Upgrade. The automated assembly line is being expanded to include two PUMA placement machines from ESSEMTEC. This will increase production capacity for PCB assembly, allowing even more components to be produced simultaneously. In addition, a clean room is being set up for the assembly of particularly dust-sensitive modules, such as the integration of custom control panels into dashboards.
Innovative Coating System to Improve Quality
With the modern I-Jet 01 coating system from EPSYS, protective coatings can now be applied with pinpoint accuracy and precision to printed circuit boards and assemblies. This significantly enhances the protection of electronic circuits and improves operational reliability.
25 YEARS OF MIUNSKE
25 years of company history - a quarter of a century. A reason to be proud. On what has been achieved, on what has been overcome, on customer projects, new developments and growth. FULLY AUTOMATIC PCB PRODUCTION
August 2019 - miunske® invests in a modern SMT production line. With the implementation of the fully automatic circuit board production, in addition to the already existing THT assembly, miunske® is taking a big step towards the future. The system makes it possible to produce printed circuit boards for commercial vehicles in a much more compact, individual and also small series with an excellent price-performance ratio.
FOUNDING OF MIUNSKE SOLUTION GMBH
miunske® bundles its development expertise and thus effectively drives product innovations for future topics, such as the electrification of the drive train. The range of services offered by miunske solution GmbH includes hardware and software development for electronic components, construction/prototyping as well as project management and support.
CHANGE OF NAME TO MIUNSKE GMBH WITH NEW BRAND APPEARANCE.
Miunske has grown significantly. With this in mind, the brand identity of the already established miunske brand was updated, creating room for future growth. Miunske’s vision—“miunske is in every commercial vehicle and every piece of heavy equipment”—is the shared goal that will be the focus in the coming years. With its brand promise: “We offer commercial vehicle and heavy equipment manufacturers electronic system solutions from a single source. Ready for installation. On-site. When needed. Right on target,” miunske GmbH will continue to be a competent and reliable partner in the field of commercial vehicle electronics.
MIUNSKE CELEBRATES ITS 20TH ANNIVERSARY
20 years, filled with challenges and successes and the firm belief in the success of his ideas. A reason to honor the life's work of Johannes J. Miunske. The miunske team thanked customers, suppliers, business partners, companions and friends for the time together and celebrated in the festively decorated Krone Hall in Bautzen. With the departure of Johannes J. Miunske at the end of the year, Katrin M. Miunske will lead the family business as managing director alongside Jana Kirstein and the husbands René Miunske and Stephan M. Kirstein.
MODERNIZATION MEASURES TO IMPROVE RESOURCES IN THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING
Customer advice is still the focus at miunske. The "technical sales" department moves into a modern open-plan office. In addition to a meeting area for daily informational discussions, there is now also space for future growth and thus a plus in consulting services. Miunske is one of the top 5 companies in the "Saxony Entrepreneur of the Year" competition.
INAUGURATION OF THE TREFFPUNKT M TRAINING AND SOCIAL BUILDING
Even after the generation change, the company continues to grow and a social building is opened for all employees to come together, learn and celebrate. Not least for this reason, but also because of the wide range of offers for reconciling work and family life, the company is honored with the "Family-friendly employer" seal of quality. Other awards include the Oberlausitzer Unternehmerpreis and the winner of the "Comeback of the Year", an initiative to win back skilled workers who have emigrated from Saxony.
AWARDED THE GERMAN MEDIUM-SIZED BUSINESS PRIZE OF THE OSCAR-PATZELT FOUNDATION
The company and thus the work of Johannes J. Miunske is honored in front of all German SMEs with the award "Winner of the German SME Award". He himself is looking ahead and already has company succession in mind. In the same year he hands over the company to his two daughters Katrin M. Miunske and Jana Kirstein.
GROUND-BREAKING BREAK FOR THE NEW BUILDING FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE MANUFACTURING AND LOGISTICS CENTER
In addition to its broad product portfolio, miunske is a sought-after logistics partner. Customers appreciate the company’s inventory management and the resulting short delivery times, and they are happy to take advantage of these services. Due to its continuous growth, the company is planning to expand its manufacturing and logistics center, which will be equipped with a photovoltaic system as part of this project. This system covers the company’s entire energy needs and contributes to the protection and preservation of the environment.
START OF DEVELOPMENT IN THE AREA OF CAN – COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY
As an established specialist for vehicle electrics/electronics, the idea of offering our own products in the field of CAN communication technology was obvious. At the Automechanika 2008 trade fair, miunske presented its "cockpit system" for the first time, which promoted networking in commercial vehicles using small pluggable modules and CAN switching and display units.
CONSTRUCTION OF A MANUFACTURING AND LOGISTICS CENTER
6 years after the move to Großpostwitz, the storage capacities were also exhausted here, but the Miunske family had already provided for expansion options. A production and logistics center was set up directly opposite the first company building, which offered even more effective warehousing and new production options.
EXPANSION OF THE ELECTRONICS LAB AND ESTABLISHMENT OF ADDITIONAL TEST STATIONS IN PRODUCTION
In addition to the development of electrical assemblies, the demand for electronic components increased due to the increasing automation of commercial vehicles and work machines. Products such as the multi-channel flasher, which arose due to the increased use of LED technology and enabled mixed operation with conventional lighting technology, made new demands on measurement and testing technology.
FIRST EXHIBITION AT THE BAUMA IN MUNICH
So far, Johannes Miunske has also acquired his customers at the trade fairs relevant to his company: BAUMA, IAA – Commercial Vehicles, Automechanika and Agritechnica. Now the time had come for our own booth. The first appearance at the BAUMA 2004 was something very special and soon noticeably expanded the company's customer base.
BEGINNING OF ASSEMBLY PRODUCTION ACCORDING TO INDIVIDUAL CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS
As a solution provider, miunske now increasingly develops and manufactures assemblies according to customer requirements, such as energy distributors or driver presence monitors, in addition to the broad product portfolio. This required more space. To expand the production area, an adjacent plot of land with a production hall was purchased.
RELOCATION OF THE COMPANY HEADQUARTERS TO THE CURRENT LOCATION IN GROSSPOSTWITZ
Despite the expansion of the garage with an upper floor and roof, there was soon not enough space and Johannes Miunske found a new company domicile in Großpostwitz with future-oriented expansion options. After thorough conversion and modernization measures, he and 7 employees moved into the much larger building. On the one hand, there were better storage facilities here to accommodate the constantly growing range, but on the other hand, there were also offices for new employees to look after the growing customer base.
MIUNSKE RECEIVES THE TRADEMARK RIGHTS AND BEGINS THE DEVELOPMENT OF ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS
As a tinkerer and inventor of ideas, Johannes Miunske pushed ahead with his own product development. His motto "Different from all others and better" has repeatedly resulted in his product developments having unique selling points. For this reason, he applied early for trademark protection under the then FTM brand, which stood for Fahrzeugtechnik Miunske.

Johannes Miunske always dreamed of his own company. As electronics engineer he was responsible for the electronical draft of the combine harvester E524 of the company ‘MDW Singwitz’ in the 1980s. Already at this time, they told him that his ideas were ahead of the times. After the political change in 1989 he took his chance and started his own company. The core competences of his company were in the trade with articles of vehicle electrics and the processing of those parts. The company grew and the Miunske couple put all their eggs into one basket. Monika Miunske gave up her job as office head of a law office to support her husband with all her strength.
