Packaging and Packaging Waste
With the new EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR), the European Union aims to reduce packaging and packaging waste and promote a functioning circular economy. In the future, packaging must be designed to use fewer resources, be more easily recyclable and be reused more frequently. At the same time, the regulation establishes harmonised requirements for packaging and packaging waste across the EU.
